Itching

Itching (Pruritus)

Itching can be associated with allergies, eczema and contact allergic reactions, although Itching can also be from dry skin or other causes. Through allergy testing a cause of the itching could be found.

Testing for contact allergies to chemicals can be done by applying patch tests to the skin. A work up for itching  may also involve laboratory tests to check the blood and  liver functions and other tests to help determine the cause.
